Mother and son involved in illegal kidney trade arrested

Punjab Police has arrested a mother and son involved in the alleged illegal kidney transplant and racket.

SP Cantt Operations Owais Shafiq claimed the arrest of the accused in a press conference in Baghbanpura and said that the accused has been identified as Safia Bibi, while SP Cantt did not reveal the name of the accused.

SP Operations said that the accused had worked with the notorious Dr. Fawad, the accused took him to a private clinic on the pretext of treatment on the pretext of money, where they also removed the kidney of a citizen named Naeem.

He said that the accused were arrested on the request of a citizen named Naeem, the accused told in the initial investigation that a kidney is sold for three lakh rupees.

According to SP operations, 24 people have been revealed to be selling kidneys in the whole of Punjab so far.
