Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi officially approved the appointment of Shan Gill as Advocate General Punjab.
In the 5th meeting of the Provincial Cabinet under the chairmanship of the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, the appointment of Shaan Gill to the post of Advocate General Punjab was officially approved.
It should be noted that on February 14, the Lahore High Court upheld the dismissal of 97 law officers including Advocate General Punjab Ahmed Owais.
A 5-member larger bench of the Lahore High Court headed by Justice Ali Baqer Najafi had given its decision in this regard.
The Supreme Court had declared illegal the re-appointment of 19 law officers of the Hamza Shehbaz era in the caretaker government.
