Tonic: Unknown persons opened fire in the crowded market, killed the police constable and escaped.
According to the police, Constable Sharifuddin was the brother of traffic warden in charge Saeeduddin and was on his way to duty when unknown persons opened fire on him near the grid station.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to DHQ Hospital.

After collecting the evidence from the spot, the police cordoned off the area and started searching for the accused who escaped.
It should be noted that last month also, unknown motorcyclists killed three people by firing at a moving motorcycle in Tank, while 2 children were injured in the incident.
