Lahore: Punjab government has decided to write a letter to India to prevent smog pollution.

The Punjab Environment Protection Department has sent a letter to the Punjab government in this regard, in which it has been said that crop residues are being burnt in the areas of Indian Punjab. You can see the burning of crop residues in India from Google images. .

According to the department, most of the fires are being set in Jalandhar, Ludhiana, while in Pakistan, crop residues are being burnt in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala and Hafizabad. Deputy Commissioners should take action against those involved.

DG Environment Protection Punjab Zaheer Abbas Malik said that India is the main reason for the increase in air quality index in Lahore, the polluting elements in Punjab can be stopped but not the air coming from India, so by writing a letter to India It should be pressed to prevent smog.
