K-Electric has been revealed to be the most subsidized compared to state-owned electricity distribution companies.
Secretary Power Rashid Langriyal said on the subsidy given to Discos and K Electric that the government is giving less subsidy than K Electric to all the electricity companies combined.
He says that K Elekrak is getting Rs 169 billion subsidy while all other 7 distribution companies are getting Rs 158 billion federal subsidy.
Rashid Langryal says that 3 electricity distribution companies are not taking any subsidy from the federation, MAPCO is taking 43 billion rupees, GAPCO is taking 18 billion rupees and HESCO is taking 35 billion rupees.
He further said that 18 billion rupees subsidy is being provided to PESCO and 9 billion rupees to Tesco, while the federal government is giving subsidy of 13 billion rupees to Sepco and 22 billion rupees to Cisco.
Rashid Langriyal also says that ISCO, LESCO and FESCO are not taking subsidy from the federal government.
