Lahore: The accused was arrested after registering a case for selling sandal oil in Nishtar Colony.
According to Express News, a unique case has been registered in Pakistan under the Animal Prevention Act, 1890, in which a case has been registered for selling sande oil in Nishtar Colony and the person selling the oil has been arrested.
The case was registered under the Animal Rescue Act 1890 in the complaint of the traffic warden, after which the police arrested the accused Aslam and recovered one live and one dead sanda from his possession.
The police handed over the dead and alive Sanda to wildlife officials.
It should be noted that this is the second case registered under the Animal Act after 134 years.
