Caretaker Health Minister Punjab Dr. Javed Akram has said that the best way to prevent conjunctivitis is to take precautions.
A seminar on conjunctivitis was organized under the auspices of Mir Khalilur Rehman Society.
Addressing the seminar, he said to avoid touching the affected person’s hands and using the things used by him and also avoid following home remedies for conjunctivitis.
Dr. Javed Akram said that due to conjunctivitis there was a shortage in the medicine market and eye medicines were sold in black.
He said that it is a pity that there is profiteering on eye drops, there is no special medicine for conjunctivitis, this infection can be prevented by quarantine.
Dr. Javed Akram says that dengue can be avoided after full implementation of preventive measures.
He said that dengue is only a disease of children in the world but Pakistan is the only country where dengue victims are also adults.
Dr. Javed Akram said that dengue is more common in men in Pakistan, most types of dengue are being reported in the country, dengue prevention is a difficult task for us.
He said that the political governments threw dust in people’s eyes by spraying dengue, by spraying dengue, immunity developed in the mosquito, in the countries which controlled dengue, dengue was not sprayed.
He also said that diseases are spreading very fast in the world and now human deaths in the world are not caused by wars but by viruses and the virus is transmitted from animals to humans.
