Two weeks ago someone from Lahore sent me his book. Both the title and the name of the book were emotional so I put it aside without reading and looking. I started looking for books to read a few days ago. It started and I half-heartedly started the work and then I forgot everything and went on reading the book.
This book was ‘not a book’ it was a lesson of life which we forget ninety-nine percent’ I finished the book of four hundred pages in two days and after that I called the author and his greatness, courage and Standing up and saluting Istiqlal, “Indeed, this man did not just write a book, he wrote a book of life, and this book of life should be read by anyone who is disappointed with life or who values life.” No. Or one who is easily frightened by the problems of life.
I have now formed a relationship of devotion and discipleship with the author and I claim that if you read this book, you will also be bound in the same bond. The story of Hayat is life and it was written by him, if he was in Europe or America, ten or twenty films would have been made on him by now. have done
Who is Amjad Siddiqui and what feat did he accomplish that surprised even a practical person like me? Amjad Siddiqui’s father was also a cloth business and was also a newspaper distributor and correspondent. They kept throwing newspapers at their homes. They went to Saudi Arabia for employment in 1979 and got a job as a typist in a bank with great difficulty. It used to be a lion.
The same thing happened with Amjad Siddiqui and his mother got him engaged to a beautiful girl and so these people became happy and satisfied and everything started going perfectly as planned but then they went to Madinah for pilgrimage and prayer. On the way back, the car had an accident and the course of their lives changed. They get confused during the process.
Amjad Siddiqui was pulled out of the vehicle by the locals, which broke his spine, left him paralyzed from the chest down, and could only move his arms and neck. There was no movement and no sensation. They did not even feel cold and hot, and even if their bodies were cut with a knife, they did not know. It was a terrifying situation, but even more terrifying. And the alarming situation was ahead – he had lost control over his stool and urine.
These were constantly coming out and he didn’t even realize it, however, long story short, Amjad Siddiqui refused to give up even in this situation and decided to lead a successful and proud life. Friends and society wanted to turn him into a beggar, but this person was fighting with his disability and society all his life. He was abandoned by his family and relatives. His engagement was broken. People were not even ready to shake hands with him.
The whole family wanted to bring him to Pakistan and confine him to a room, but this man did not give up. “Dard Ka Safar” by Amjad Siddiqui is the story of a disabled but successful and happy person who did not let any obstacle of the society stop his way. How did he reach the hospital? How did you get up? How did you use the wheelchair as your support? How did you learn to drive? How did you change the car tires while sitting on the wheelchair? And how he managed to get a job despite his disability is an amazing story.
He used to drive a wheelchair for fifteen kilometers by hand to reach the office. How? How did he enter the business world? How did he earn millions of rupees? How did he travel to 60 countries despite his disability and finally got married? are This is an incredible story and must be read by every person of the country, especially every disabled person.
What difficulties Amjad Siddiqui had to face to live and move forward is also indescribable. For example, I put a few things in front of you. They came on a wheelchair, in that era even a normal person could not get a job while 90% of them were paralyzed, so how could they get a job?
No one had an answer to this, but Amjad Siddiqui overcame this hurdle. He kept going around his former bank and finally convinced them to hire me for three months without pay. If you finish it, you will give me a job, otherwise I will leave.” They used to get ready ‘travel 15 kilometers by hand pushing a wheelchair and reach there an hour before the bank opens and there was no break in this routine even for a day’ Why did they take so much pain?
Because buses and taxis did not have space for wheelchairs in those days, Siddiqui increased his typing speed in the office compared to ordinary people, so he worked as much as four people in the bank, whatever work was given to him. He did not refuse and went home after completing his work. The bank management was impressed by his discipline and performance and paid him his salary in the first month. But he didn’t give me a house. Amjad Siddiqui’s struggle to get a house is also a talisman of conscious riba.
Amjad Siddiqui also wrote about these incidents in detail: “For example, the municipal committee once dug a hole in front of his house and went away late at night.” When they returned home, there was a pit dug in front of their house. They lived alone, so they fell into the pit along with the wheelchair and spent the whole night trying to get out by dragging the wheelchair.
I cried while reading this portion of the book ‘In those days disabled people were not allowed to drive’ Amjad Siddiqui got this permission ‘He bought a car and he kept driving it’ How can a wheelchair be driven? How he used to bring it close, then how he would jump and fall on the driving seat with the strength of his arms, and then how he would lift the wheelchair from the road and fold it and how he would adjust it on the side seat’, this portion is also unbelievable.
Once the tire of the car of the Highway Paran got punctured, Amjad Siddiqui sat on the wheelchair for hours and waited for help, but when no vehicle stopped, then how he changed the tire sitting on the wheelchair is also heartbreaking. The telling story is ‘how they were treated on planes’ how they were refused by airlines ‘how they were dragged into seats and picked up’ how they were shunned by fellow passengers ‘their wheelchairs’ How they were broken while packing and how they left the airport, how they were fired from their jobs and how they started a business in a wheelchair with towels on their shoulders and how it was a job. Become a businessman.
How they controlled their urine and stool during the journey of the ship and how they were treated if there was an emergency during the journey and then how they got married and how Allah blessed them with children. There is an amazing story and this story also makes you cry.
Amjad Siddiqui is truly a hero of Pakistan. He should get Pakistan’s highest bravery award and everyone should read his book Dard Ka Safar. Even the difficult’ will not feel difficult’ you will fall in love with all the problems of life and you will say to yourself everyday if Amjad Siddiqui can do it why can’t I do it?
Second, you will be forced to thank Allah who made you complete and gave you the ability to fulfill your own needs and your own body. How kind and merciful Allah is to you. It will happen after reading this book and like me, you will be compelled to say at the end, Amjad Siddiqui Sahib is great and you will also be compelled to salute his majesty with both hands.
