Decision to keep security forces on high alert during Imran Khan's imprisonment

Rawalpindi: It has been decided to keep the security forces on high alert inside and outside the jail during the imprisonment of Chairman PTI in Sendal Jail Adiala.

The Security Branch of Rawalpindi Police and related agencies have decided to increase security measures due to the imprisonment of the former Prime Minister in the jail. The decision to increase security measures has been taken after a security survey.

It was found that after the survey, regular police pickets were established on both sides of the Sendal Jail Adiala Building on Adiala Road, security arrangements were also made in the back and sides of the jail. To make sure, the details of all the persons who come for meeting in the jail should be entered in the register along with the ID card number and suggestions have been made to keep the 24 hours patrolling system effective in and around Adiala Road.

In the light of survey and suggestions, police officers including SSP Operation Rawalpindi and Chief Traffic Officer reached Adiala Jail.

The police officers held a meeting with the Superintendent Jail Asad Warich and other officials in which it was decided that the jail administration will ensure security arrangements inside the jail boundary and at the gates, while the responsibility of security will be on the boundary wall and outer sides of the jail and on Adiala Road. It will be on Rawalpindi Police.

In the meeting, to ensure security, a decision was also taken to set up pickets on Adiala Road, patrolling around the jail, outside the jail for checking and search operation.
