Mumbai: Senior Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah has said that he will never go to see the blockbuster films ‘RRR’ and ‘Pushpa’.

Naseeruddin Shah, who is known for his influential contribution to Hindi cinema, in a recent interview to a YouTube channel expressed his views on the portrayal of emotional men in Bollywood films.

According to Indian media, when Naseeruddin Shah was asked about the success of Bollywood films like ‘Kabir Singh’, the actor said that the insecurity of men is increasing in the society at the moment, due to which the same thing has been shown more in films. Going on, every movie is featuring a hyper man while all the superheroes are now in Hollywood movies.

Naseeruddin Shah said that even films like ‘A Wednesday’, which don’t feature hyper-characters, are successful, films with sensational stories are more popular and there is a need to make similar films in Bollywood.

Expressing his views on some blockbuster films, Naseeruddin Shah said I tried to watch ‘RRR’ but I couldn’t, I tried to watch ‘Pushpa’ but I couldn’t watch this movie. Couldn’t even watch and I can’t even imagine watching such movies.

Earlier in an interview, Naseeruddin Shah had said that I have not seen films like ‘Kashmir Files’ and ‘Ghadr 2’ but I know the story of such films and it is quite disturbing that films like ‘Kashmir Files’ Qadr is popular while films by Sudhir Mishra, Anubhu Sinha and Hansal Mehta, which try to portray the truth of their times, are not getting any traction.
