Home-made injections have been revealed to be supplied to hospitals in Lahore.
The vision of 40 diabetic patients was affected by using substandard injections. When the situation came to light, the administration and the caretaker government also came into action, the fake injection manufacturing place was raided and sealed.
The management has also claimed to remove all the stock from the market.
40 patients’ vision was affected by fake injection, 12 of which lost their vision. These injections were used in eye operations of diabetic patients in different hospitals of Lahore.
According to sources, the price of real injections ranges from Rs 40,000 to Rs 1 lakh, but fake injections manufactured at home were being sold for Rs 1,200.
Two persons involved in making fake injections have been identified and arrest warrants have been issued.
