A case of indecent behavior against a woman walking on the road has been registered in North Karachi.
Sir Syed Town Police has registered a case number 635/2023 against the government against sub-inspector Ali Nawaz under sections 294, 354, 509 of the crime.
According to the plaintiff’s case, he had seen a viral video on social media in which an unknown motorcycle-riding accused in a pant shirt ran away from a burqa-clad woman passing by.
When the video was carefully examined, it was found in North Karachi Sector XI B, on which a case has been registered against the said unknown accused. The case has been handed over to the Investigation Police for further investigation, but no arrest has been made in this regard.
It should be noted that the video of the said incident in North Karachi went viral on social media on Friday. Earlier, CCTV footages of harassment of women in Gulistan Johar, Orangi Town and Sumanabad have also come to light.
