Former captain Muhammad Hafeez resigned from the PCB’s technical committee a day before the announcement of the World Cup squad.
Former captain Muhammad Hafeez said in a tweet on social networking website ‘X’ that he served as an honorary member. He thanks Chairman PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf for providing the opportunity.
Muhammad Hafeez further wrote, “Whenever Zaka Ashraf needs my honest suggestions for Pakistan cricket, I am always there.” My best wishes for Pakistan Cricket, Long Live Pakistan”.

It should be remembered that the Pakistan Cricket Board had appointed former captain Misbah-ul-Haq as the head of the committee while forming the Cricket Technical Committee on August 2 this year. Other members of the Cricket Technical Committee included Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez.
Mohammad Hafeez also attended the meeting chaired by Zaka Ashraf today (Thursday) in which the national team squad for the World Cup was finalized. The reasons for Mohammad Hafeez’s resignation have not been revealed yet.
