The Delhi High Court has restrained the use of actor Anil Kapoor’s name, image and voice for commercial purposes without permission.
Justice Prathiba Singh issued an interim injunction against several websites and other platforms on behalf of Anil Kapoor.
Anil Kapoor’s lawyer took the stand that several websites and platforms are abusing his client’s personality rights through various activities.
The lawyer is selling various goods and fake autographs in Anil’s name without permission and using his image as a motivational speaker to collect fees.
The actor has filed a case and demanded the protection of his personality rights, in which his name, voice, image should not be misused.
The court said that the client’s name, picture, dialogue and voice will not be allowed to be used illegally for commercial purposes.
