A case has been registered against senior lawyer Advocate Akhtar Hussain for protesting against inflation in Rawalpindi, which has been strongly condemned by the Pakistan Bar Council.
In the condemnation statement issued by the Pakistan Bar Council, it has been stated that Advocate Akhtar Hussain is a senior advocate of the Supreme Court, who protested peacefully against inflation in Rawalpindi, and an FIR was registered against him.
According to the statement, Advocate Akhtar Hussain is a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court and also a member of the Judicial Commission against whom the case is strongly condemned because every citizen has freedom of peaceful protest and expression of opinion in the spirit of the Constitution.
The Pakistan Bar said that the illegal FIR registered against Advocate Akhtar Hussain should be withdrawn immediately and action should be taken against the officers who misused their powers.
