TB specialist Dr. Amir says that the number of TB patients is increasing in Pakistan.
Addressing the ceremony in Islamabad, Dr. Amir, a tuberculosis specialist, said that 132 people die of TB alone on a daily basis.
He said that the global health crisis of TB has taken a serious turn in Pakistan, Pakistan ranks 5th in the world in terms of the prevalence of TB.
According to him, despite the TB control program, the increase in the number of patients is alarming.
Dr. Aamir stressed that the Prime Minister should participate in the UNTB control program on September 22.
