Karachi: Malaria cases have increased to an alarming extent due to the abundance of mosquitoes across Sindh.
According to Express News, 2 lakh 69 thousand 596 cases of malaria have been reported in the province this year, in which Hyderabad division is the most affected, where 1 lakh 32 thousand 441 cases have been reported from January to August.
65 thousand 807 cases have been reported in Mirpur Khas, 48 thousand 499 in Larkana and 11 thousand 591 in Sukkur division.
According to the Sindh Health Department, 4 thousand 924 cases have been reported in Shaheed Benazirabad and 1834 cases in Karachi, however, there have been no deaths due to malaria this year.
