Lahore: A special vaccination campaign to prevent polio will be conducted in the provincial capital from September 4 to 11.
According to Express News, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lahore Rafia Haider in which a polio case response plan was prepared after the environmental sample of polio was positive in Lahore.
According to DC Lahore Rafia Haider, a special anti-polio campaign will be conducted in the city from September 4 to 11, during which 2 lakh 11 thousand 112 children will be administered polio vaccine in 29 union councils.
Anti-polio campaign will be conducted in 2 union councils of Aziz Bhatti, 16 of Dataganj Bakhsh, 5 of Gulbarg, 6 of Ravi, while vaccination will be done in 14 union councils and targeted areas of 15 union councils.
According to DC Lahore, 81 fixed teams, 520 mobile teams, 59 transit teams will participate in the special polio campaign.
