Order not to arrest Iman Mazari and take him out of Islamabad

Islamabad: The High Court ordered that Advocate Iman Mazari be arrested and not taken out of Islamabad.

A hearing was held in the Islamabad High Court on the request of Advocate Iman Mazari to provide details of the cases filed against him. Dr. Shireen Mazari reached the court on the occasion of hearing.

Lawyers Salman Akram Raja and Qaiser Imam appeared before Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb on behalf of Shireen Mazari. The lawyers said in their arguments that there was no need for us to file such an application, but the situation has become something like this. 2 applications were filed against Iman Mazari, provisions of terrorism and sedition were imposed. Arrested in 2 cases, both were released on bail and then Iman Mazari was arrested from outside Adiala Jail in the third case.

Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb remarked that we are passing through a very difficult period. Iman Mazari was present in this court, I said control your mother’s language. Iman Mazari assured, then he did not control his own language. 2023 is the darkest year in terms of implementation of the constitution and judiciary.

The lawyer said in the court that if someone has committed a crime, then the court can see it according to the law. The case filed is based on malice. Let us be told how many cases are registered against us. Iman Mazari should be prevented from being arrested in any other case. We are not going through normal conditions at this time. Iman Mazari should be prevented from being taken to any other case outside Islamabad.

The court inquired that how many cases are registered against Advocate Iman Mazari across the country? The court ordered that the interior secretary should inform the provinces by calling for reports by tomorrow. The Islamabad High Court stopped Iman Mazari from being arrested and taken out of Islamabad until the next hearing and ordered that the Interior Secretary ensure that Iman Mazari is not arrested and taken out of Islamabad.

The court ordered that if there is any incident against Iman Mazari after August 20, he should not be arrested. Later, the court adjourned further hearing of the case till tomorrow.
