Dev Kohli, India’s most famous lyricist and poet, passed away at the age of 81 in Mumbai.
According to Indian media reports, the late poet Dev Kohli’s spokesperson has confirmed his death.
Spokesperson Pritam Sharma confirmed Dev Kohli’s death and said that he was under treatment at a local hospital for the past few months, his condition was not good and he died early this morning.
According to media reports, the payment of his final rations will start from this afternoon.
It should be noted that Dev Kohli was born on November 2, 1942 in a Sikh family in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He wrote more than a hundred songs for many Bollywood films like Baaziar, Hum Aap Ka Hain Koon, Main Pyaar Kya, Shoot Out At Lokhandwala etc.
He last penned songs for Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Raju’, which had music composed by Uttam Singh.
