Parents who do not vaccinate their children can be punished with one month imprisonment and a fine of up to 50 thousand rupees.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori approved the Sindh Immunization and Epidemics Control Bill 2023.
The purpose of the bill is to prevent and control diseases and epidemics in the province through immunization, vaccination, scientific and social means and methods.
According to the bill, the concerned Deputy Commissioner will be authorized to punish the parents or guardians who do not get the vaccination of children under sub-section one with imprisonment up to one month or fine up to Rs 50 thousand or both.
On the other hand, Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori approved the Sindh Essential Commodities Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoardings Amendment Bill 2023.
The bill amends the Commodity Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding Act.
