State Bank of Pakistan has released a commemorative coin of 75 rupees on completion of 75 years of Pakistan-US diplomatic relations.
A commemorative coin was released on the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations at a ceremony held in Islamabad.
Foreign Secretary Muhammad Cyrus Sajjad Qazi and US Ambassador Donald Bloom as guest of honor attended the event along with Governor State Bank Jameel Ahmed.
On this occasion, the Foreign Secretary said that the national symbols of Pakistan and America on the coin highlight the democratic foundations of both countries.
He said that this coin will be a symbol of sustainability of Pakistan-US long-term relations.
US Ambassador Donald Bloom said in his address that this coin reflects the commitment of the two countries to bright permanence, thanking State Bank for issuing the commemorative coin.
He further said that initiatives like Green Alliance will help countries deal with common challenges.
Governor State Bank Jameel Ahmed thanked the Foreign Secretary and the US Ambassador to Pakistan for attending the ceremony and said that the issuance of the commemorative coin reflects the importance of the relationship between the two countries.
Pakistan and the US have strong trade and social ties. Its design highlights the efficacy of how independent nations work together for the development of their people.
