Islamabad: Regarding the preparations for the general elections, the Election Commission will officially start the constituencies from today.
Under the first phase, committees related to constituencies will be formed from today. Constituency committees will be established for the federal capital and provinces.
Constituency Committees will obtain necessary data including district maps and population. The committees will receive the census report of the district and other information by August 31. In the third phase, the four-day training of Constituency Committee will begin from September 1.
According to Election Commission, preliminary constituencies will be completed from September 8 to October 7, details of preliminary constituencies will be published on October 9 and objections or suggestions can be filed from October 10 to November 8.
The Election Commission will hear and decide on the objections from October 10 to December 9, the final constituencies will be completed on December 14.
