Poet, intellectual and dramatist Amjad Islam Amjad was laid to rest at the Mayani Sahib graveyard in Lahore. Relatives and friends of the deceased participated in the funeral prayer.
Amjad Islam Amjad’s funeral prayer was offered at Defense Phase 1 Jama Masjid, which was attended by a large number of relatives, literary figures and local people.
After the funeral prayer, the body of Amjad Islam Amjad was brought to Miani Sahib for burial.
A large number of Amjad Islam Amjad’s fans were also present at the time of burial.
Amjad Islam Amjad suffered a heart attack this morning which proved fatal.
