Islamabad: Ishaq Dar refused to give a lump sum of 47.5 billion to the Election Commission.

The Election Commission demanded a lump sum release of Rs 47.5 billion approved by the government, while Finance Minister Ishaq Dar refused to release the Rs 47.5 billion lump sum to the Election Commission.

According to the sources, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has promised to give funds to the Election Commission in stages instead of lump sum. Sources further say that Election Commission officials had a meeting with the Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the past few days.
