Jeddah: The status of Sweden’s special envoy to the ongoing OIC meeting in Saudi Arabia has been suspended.
According to the details, the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is going on in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in which the status of the special envoy of Sweden has been suspended.
Secretary General Hussain Ibrahim condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran in Denmark, saying that such acts incite religious hatred and intolerance, and that such acts would have dangerous consequences.
The OIC demanded that Denmark take measures to stop such provocative actions, provocations that are against the spirit of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
