The Supreme Court dismissed the petition filed against the disqualification of former President Pervez Musharraf.
The case was heard by a 3-member bench headed by the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court dismissed Pervez Musharraf’s disqualification petition as ineffective.
The Additional Attorney General told the court that the petitioner Pervez Musharraf had died, the disqualification of Pervez Musharraf was challenged in the 2013 general elections.
The Additional Attorney General added that the term of the 2013 Assembly has also ended.
It should be noted that Pervez Musharraf had submitted nomination papers from Chitral in 2013 general elections which were rejected by the Returning Officer.
