The number of registered HIV patients in Sindh province has increased to 19 thousand 766.
According to the data released by the Directorate of Communicable Disease Control, the number of registered female AIDS patients is 3,423.
The report states that a record one million HIV tests were conducted in the province last year.
According to the report, as a result of these tests, the highest number of sexually infected patients was 7,650.
The number of patients affected by contaminated syringe is 6 thousand 802 and the number of patients affected by blood transfusion is 2 thousand 25 in the second place.
According to the Directorate of Communicable Disease Control, 79% of funds against AIDS are provided by the government and 21% by international organizations.
17 centers are working for AIDS treatment across the province.
