After Ravi River, India has also released water in Sutlej River, regarding which PDMA has issued a high alert.
According to the PDMA, India has released 95,27 cusecs of water from Harike into the Sutlej River.
DG PDMA Imran Qureshi has instructed that the Deputy Commissioners of Kasur, Okara, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar and Wahari should complete the preliminary arrangements in this regard.
He says that the staff in the emergency control room should be kept alert all the time, all the relevant departments should keep the authorities informed about the latest situation.
DGPDMA Imran Qureshi has directed that the disaster response team of Rescue 1122 should be kept on high alert, there should be ample stock of petrol and diesel for the rescue operation.
He has further said that the citizens in the low-lying areas should be informed about the possible flood situation, availability of medicines in the medical campus should be ensured in abundance.
DGP DDMA Imran Qureshi also says that adequate space and food should be arranged for the animals.
