New Delhi's 40-year rainfall record is broken

In the capital of India, New Delhi, the clouds froze and it rained so much that the roads became ponds, breaking the record of 40 years.

According to Indian media, 153 mm of rain has been recorded in the capital New Delhi during the last 24 hours, breaking the 40-year record here. Due to incessant rain, the roads started to look like ponds while the traffic system was also disrupted.

A woman died in a roof collapse incident during rain in New Delhi, while four people died in accidents after rain in Rajasthan.

In Himachal Pradesh’s Pandoh, Beas river water has entered houses and markets, while more than 250 roads, including three national highways, have been blocked.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh today, due to which a red alert has been issued in both the states.
