Two citizens missing, notices issued to Home Secretary, IG and SHOs

Karachi: The Sindh High Court has issued notices to Secretary Home Department, IG, DIG Malir, SSP Malir, SHO Sohrab Goth and Quaidabad on the petitions related to the recovery of two missing citizens.

According to Express News, a two-member bench consisting of Justice Agha Faisal and Justice Abdul Mubeen Lakho heard the requests for the recovery of 2 missing citizens.

Israr, the son of Hasan Gul, a missing citizen from Sohrab Goth, said that the father was taken into custody by two mobile police personnel on July 1. When contacted, the police expressed ignorance about the incident. Information should be made, the father should be ordered to appear in court.

Masamat Akhtar Bibi from Quaidabad said that on June 13, his son Abid was abducted by the policemen who broke into the house. The police demanded 2 lakh rupees for the son’s release. He went missing, despite repeated contact, the police is not saying anything, the son should be recovered.

The court issued notices to the Secretary, Sindh Home Department, IG, DIG Malir, SSP Malir, SHO Sohrab Goth and Quaidabad and sought answers from the parties at the next hearing.
