Karachi: After the monsoon system has entered the city of Quaid, rain has started in different areas.
Black clouds covered different areas of Karachi in the afternoon and heavy rains started in the evening which broke the heat.
The rainfall system moved rapidly towards urban areas in various areas including Super Highway, Nooriabad and Gadap Town, followed by rain in Sarjani Town, North Karachi, Gulshan Mimar, Teisar Town, Baldia Town and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, the central areas of the city were covered with drizzle and black clouds, while the intensity of the hubris remained. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the city in the next few hours.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the Monsoon system will remain in Karachi for two days and during this time there will be intermittent thundershowers.
In view of possible monsoon rains, the large-scale cleaning of drains across the city is underway on behalf of the city government, which is being supervised by Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab himself.
Apart from this, the concerned institutions have also been directed to be alert and keep the machinery ready.
