Director General of Balochistan PDMA Jahanzeb Khan has said that arrangements have been completed regarding monsoon in Balochistan, staff leave has been canceled and a control room has been established.
Talking to Geo News, Director General PDMA said that there is a possibility of monsoon rains in some areas of Balochistan from Thursday.
The director general of PDMA said that they are in touch with the Meteorological Department, they have sent relief materials for five to five hundred families in each district of the province.
He said that the leave of PDMA staff has been canceled and a central control room has been set up. DGP PDMA said that many bridges were broken in Balochistan due to last year’s rains.
Traffic is likely to be suspended due to light rains, citizens should avoid non-essential travel during monsoon.
Jahan Zeb Khan added that during the onset of monsoon, a ban has been imposed on visiting the picnic point, dam and deep water should be avoided.
