The federal government has formed a new management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Zaka Ashraf has been appointed as the chairman of the committee.
The Federal Cabinet approved the formation of the Management Committee through summary circulation.
The government removed PCB Chief Election Commissioner Ahmed Shahzad Farooq Rana from the post.
Mehmood Iqbal Khakwani has been appointed as the new Chief Election Commissioner of PCB.
A new management committee has been formed for a period of 4 months which will look after the affairs of the Cricket Board including the ICC.
This new management committee consisting of 10 members includes Chairman Zaka Ashraf, Kaleemullah Khan, Ashfaq Akhtar, Mossadegh Islam, Azmat Parvez, Zaheer Abbas, Khurram Soomro, Khawaja Nadeem, Mustafa Ramde and Zulfiqar Malik.
The first meeting of the new management committee was called which will be held tomorrow in Lahore.
It should be noted that the issue of PCB Chairman elections and eligibility of Zaka Ashraf is already pending in the courts.
