The desecration of the Holy Qur’an by Sweden in the country has been followed by severe reactions from the international community, including Muslims, all over the world.
According to media reports, during the football league in Iraq, in the match of Al-Sharta and Al-Qasim, both teams got attention by recording their fierce protest.
Players and referees of Iraq’s football league teams attended the start of the match with copies of the Holy Quran in their hands and were seen kissing, the video of which quickly went viral on social media.

This unique respect for the Holy Quran by the referees and players of the football league is being covered in the Iraqi media and social media as a unique protest and toothless response to the Swedish incident.
In Sweden, a Swedish citizen of Iraqi origin desecrated the Holy Qur’an in public gathering. In response to this, there is a series of condemnation statements from the heads of countries and international organizations at the global level, while the hashtag of inter-Swedish brands has also risen to the second place on Twitter.

It should be noted that the Swedish Embassy in Pakistan has posted a statement on Twitter in which the Swedish government strongly rejects this act based on Islamophobia.
The Swedish government says that this individual incident does not clarify the Swedish government’s position.
