Darband: Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Jama Masjid in Darband, Republic of Dagestan on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

According to the details, Russian President Putin has visited a mosque in Dagestan on the occasion of Bakr Eid, he said that the Quran is sacred for Muslims and should be sacred for others as well.

He met the Muslims of the Russian Republic of Dagestan and said that desecration of the Holy Quran in Russia is a crime according to both the constitution and the law. The Russian President said that the crime of desecration of the Holy Quran is also punished.

The Russian President was gifted a Holy Quran, for which he expressed his gratitude. The director of the Darband Museum, Vali Fataliyev, told the media that the Quran he gifted to President Putin is from the holy Mecca.
