In Russia, the head of the private military company Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, was forced to retreat after an armed coup.
Head Wagner Group said that the soldiers are sending their troops back to the barracks to avoid bloodshed.
He further said that the military forces were ordered to return to save lives.
Earlier, Belarus made reconciliation efforts between the Wagner group and the Russian leadership which proved effective.
According to the statement issued by the Belarusian presidential office, the head of the Wagner group has agreed to stop its advance in Russia.
The presidential office said that the head of the Wagner Group has agreed to de-escalate the tense situation.
The Belarusian presidential office added in its statement that negotiations on an agreement to guarantee the protection of Wagner soldiers are ongoing.
