Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has met with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director (MD) Kristalina Georgieva in Paris.
The Prime Minister also held a third meeting with MDIMF before leaving for London, in which the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to complete the program with the IMF.
Shahbaz Sharif while appreciating the thinking of the MD of the International Monetary Fund on the consideration of the economic realities of Pakistan, said that Pakistan has the passion and determination to fulfill all its commitments.
Speaking to MDIMF, the Prime Minister said that while he appreciates the world’s support in overcoming Pakistan’s severe economic challenges, the floods have made the economic difficulties more difficult but have given relief to its people.
Shahbaz Sharif said that it is their right to get relief for the people of Pakistan. Getting on track is essential to achieving IMF goals.
The Prime Minister said that the IMF goals can be better achieved through economic recovery, Pakistan will continue to fulfill its commitments and commitments with international cooperation.
Kristalina Georgieva while talking to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated his determination for Pakistan and said that you took responsibility in difficult circumstances, you are trying your best to improve.
