The court gave the two PTI leaders till tomorrow to appear
Islamabad: Two former federal ministers of PTI, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar, failed to seek relief from the Islamabad High Court due to their failure to appear before the court on their bail application in the May 9 riot cases.
The court granted the two PTI leaders till tomorrow to appear.
Islamabad High Court Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the bail applications of PTI’s former Federal Ministers Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar in the cases filed in Tarnool police station on May 9 incidents.
Petitioners’ lawyer Ali Bukhari said that the two leaders came at 7:30 in the morning to appear in the High Court, but the police prevented them from entering the court premises. The court should see the CCTV footage of the High Court gate.

The court adjourned the hearing by accepting the request of the lawyer to give time to Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar to appear till tomorrow.
The Sessions Court of Islamabad had rejected the bail pleas of Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar two days ago and they had approached the High Court.
