A human trafficker who stole millions of rupees from citizens in the name of visa was arrested

Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took action and arrested a human trafficker who extorted millions of rupees from citizens in the name of visa.

According to FIA spokesperson, FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Islamabad arrested the accused Muhammad Asif Khan from Sector G-13 of Islamabad on a tip-off.

According to the spokesman, the accused Muhammad Asif Khan had extorted money from several citizens in the name of immigration to Canada and the accused used to pretend to be an employee of a foreign consulate.

During the raid, 5 passports were recovered from the possession of the accused, while 12 passports, fake Canadian and Turkish work visas were also recovered during the search of the accused’s house.

According to FIA spokesperson, a case has been registered against accused Muhammad Asif Khan and further investigation is underway.
