Karachi: The Sindh Board of Technical Education has blasted the ongoing directive of the Commissioner Karachi to postpone the examinations in view of bad weather conditions and expected storm.

According to Express News, due to the possible storm in Shahr Quaid, the Commissioner Karachi had issued the postponement of the examinations, but despite the notification of the Commissioner Karachi to suspend all kinds of academic activities including the summer camp, the Sindh Board of Technical Education today in the whole of Sindh. Decided to hold the exams as per the schedule.

These DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineering) examinations were conducted on Tuesday afternoon in many examination centers in Karachi, in which a large number of students have to participate, but the students are worried that in the situation caused by this possible storm. How will they go about taking the DAE exam?

It may be recalled that a notification was issued by the Commissioner Karachi last evening.

According to which all kinds of academic activities, including exams and summer camps, were directed to be suspended in Karachi until June 14 and thereafter until the storm subsides. Mentioning the measures, other educational management bodies including the Technical Board were ordered to postpone and reschedule the examinations from June 14.

After which all the related institutions including University of Karachi, Inter Board Karachi and Federal Urdu University postponed their exams, but according to the ongoing announcement of the Technical Board only the exams of June 15 and 16 have been postponed.

According to the Acting Controller of Examinations Technical Board, our papers are being taken all over Sindh including Karachi and it is not possible to postpone the exams immediately, therefore the paper of June 14 is being taken today.

It should be remembered that due to the negligence of the Sindh government, the position of moderator of examinations in the Sindh Technical Board has been vacant for many years and Ezra Nazanin is working as an acting position.
