Earthquake tremors have been felt in various parts of the country including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the earthquake struck at 1:04 a.m., with a magnitude of 5.6 and struck 10 kilometers underground.
Earthquake tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Abbottabad and surrounding areas.
Earthquake tremors were also felt in Jhelum, Hafizabad, Swat, Bagh Azad Kashmir, Neelam Valley, Shakargarh, Zafarwal and surrounding areas.
According to the seismological center, the epicenter of the earthquake was East Kashmir.
People came out of their homes and offices due to caution and fear in different cities.
