Gold prices continue to fall in the UAE

ABU DHABI: The price of gold in the United Arab Emirates continues to decline, last week the price of gold dropped by another 2 dirhams.

According to Urdu News, the price of one gram of gold in the United Arab Emirates decreased by 1.75 to 2.50 dirhams at the end of last week.

Gold markets in Dubai and Sharjah recorded further declines this weekend compared to the previous weekend.

The price of 24 karat gold per gram decreased by two and a half dirhams to reach 237.25 dirhams, while the price of 22 karat gold decreased by 2 dirhams to 220 dirhams per gram.

The price of 21 karat gold per gram has decreased by 2 dirhams to 213 dirhams, while the price of 18 karat gold has decreased by 2 dirhams to 182.5 dirhams per gram.

A manager of a jewelery showroom says that demand for gold jewelery has improved in the gold market in the past few days, people have started buying as the prices have come down. The demand for jewelery is expected to increase in the coming days.
