The province is suffering from a loss of at least 200 billion. In such a situation, how the province will be able to maintain the surplus budget is surprising.
Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has signed an agreement to provide a budget surplus for the next financial year as per the terms of the IMF.
According to official sources, after the approval of the provincial cabinet, the agreement was signed, and the agreement was sent to the central government. According to the agreement, the provincial government will provide a surplus budget of 95 billion for the next financial year.
The province has signed the IMF agreement, but the province is suffering from a deficit of at least 200 billion. One wonders how the province will manage to maintain a surplus budget in the face of deficit.
In the last budget, Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Mahmood Khan government had signed an IMF agreement to provide a surplus budget of 117 billion.
