Official foreign exchange reserves fell below the $4 billion mark

Karachi: Official foreign exchange reserves fell below the $4 billion level.

According to the State Bank, the value of the government’s foreign exchange reserves decreased to less than 4 billion dollars due to continued pressure to repay foreign debts.

In the week ended June 2, government reserves fell by $179 million to $3.912 billion.

According to the central bank, the value of deposits of commercial banks was recorded at 5 billion 422.26 million dollars on June 2.

The State Bank says that the value of the total foreign exchange reserves has reached the level of 9 billion 334 million dollars.
