Karachi: Polio virus was confirmed in the environmental sample of Karachi.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Health says that the first positive environmental sample from Karachi this year has been reported in Eastern District, the environmental sample was taken on May 15 from Sohrab Goth.
The Pakistan Polio Program has been successful in limiting the polio virus to the districts of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one case of polio has been reported in Pakistan so far this year.
Positive environmental patterns have been reported in Lahore, Hangu, Peshawar, DI Khan and Upper South Waziristan.
