The government has released data on unemployment in the country from 2017-18 to 2020-21.
According to the Economic Survey Report 2022-23, the unemployment rate in the country decreased to 6.3% in 2020-21.
According to the Economic Survey 2018-19, the unemployment rate was 6.9 percent, compared to 5.8 percent in 2017-18.
In the economic survey report, it was stated that the number of labor force in the country is 7 crore 17 lakh 60 thousand. In which 45 lakh 10 thousand people are unemployed while 6 crore 72 lakh 50 thousand people are employed.
