The country’s trade deficit has recorded a significant decline of 41% on annual basis in 11 months.
The country’s trade deficit has recorded a significant decline of 41% year-on-year in the 11 months of the current financial year and 49% in May. During the current financial year, there has been a significant decrease in domestic exports by 12% and imports by 29% on an annual basis.

According to the statistics of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the volume of trade deficit from July 2022 to May 2023 was recorded at 25.79 billion dollars, which is 41% less than the same period of the previous fiscal year.
