London: The British government has announced that the facility for students coming to the UK on student visas from all over the world to bring their family members will be terminated soon.

According to details, the majority of international students will not be allowed to bring their family members with them as a result of new government plans to reduce immigration to the UK.

The announcement said that from January next year, only a limited number of foreign students will be allowed to bring their partners or children into the country.

In this regard, Prime Minister Rishi Senak had said in a statement recently that he is considering measures to prevent the arrival of foreigners, which is a part of his manifesto for next year’s elections.

The British Home Office says that under the above measures, students other than students enrolled in postgraduate research programs will not be allowed to bring their family members to the UK.

UK Home Secretary Sylvabriberman has said in a statement that the government’s move is aimed at stopping people who come to the UK to seek employment under the guise of student visas.

He said that we saw a phenomenal increase in the number of students coming to the country on student visas last year after which this decision was taken.

The measures, which will come into effect in January 2024, were followed by a record high of 504,000 migrants for the fiscal year ending June 2022.

The Home Office added that 486,000 visas were issued last year, which is the highest proportion of student visas in the UK.
