critical law and order situation;  Extension of implementation of Section 144 in Rawalpindi

In view of the critical law and order situation in Rawalpindi, the implementation of Section 144 was extended.

Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Cheema extended the implementation of Section 144 till May 28 while Section 144 was in force till May 22. According to the notification issued, all kinds of political and religious gatherings will be banned in Rawalpindi.

Apart from this, double riding of motorcycle, use of loudspeaker has been banned in Rawalpindi. Rawalpindi Women children and Army personnel will be exempted from the ban on motorcycle double riding. According to the notification, the exhibition of Rawalpindi license weapons will also be banned.
